The agenda for this event consists of seminar sessions, panel discussion, and paper presentations, as well as city tour and recreation to the Ciater natural hot springs.


1. Seminars

The seminars will be presented by some Expert Speakers who will discuss the current crisis issues, its effects, and the solutions, in different perspectives, from macroeconomics in general and then focus to the specific microstructure (including accounting and business practices related to the real estate sector, banking sector, and capital markets).


2. Panel Discussions

Panel discussions will be facilitated by executive officers from global and local leading companies from various industries. By obtaining information regarding various experiences discussed by a panel of decision makers, participants can learn from best practices and modify them to their advantage.


3. Paper Presentations

Participants of the call for paper about “Accounting and Business Challenges in Getting Ready for the Economic Upturn” could present their paper to share their ideas with others and get new insights related to their ideas. Participants of the call for paper may choose among the following topics:

4. Workshop on PhD Preparation

Workshop for anyone who is interested in undertaking PhD program. This workshop will take participants through the whole process of doing PhD program and include three major topics:

  • Introduction - First steps towards PhD

    The first part could address broad questions such as, "Why enrol in PhD program?", "How to find a relevant issue?", "How is it to be a convincing PhD candidate?", etc.

  • Methodological insights

    The second part could provide insights on qualitative and quantitative research methods including:
    (a) how to conduct interviews, (b) how to develop and administer a survey questionnaire, and (c) critical research. These sections would also emphasize the importance of taking into account holistic perspectives and interdisciplinary research approaches.

  • How to get published as you progress in your PhD research

    The final section would emphasize the importance of international publications while progressing in your PhD. This includes publications in journals, at conferences, etc.
