Abstract Formatting
- Please send your abstract in an MS word format.
- Your abstract should contain 150 – 250 words.
- Do not write the name of author(s) and all related information on the abstract.
- Please write the contact information for all authors on a separate sheet of paper (name, affiliation, and email address).
- Please write the selected topic that best reflects the content area of your abstract.
- Please use Times New Roman font (12 point), double spacing.
- Please use 1 (one) inch margins at the top, bottom, right, and left.
- For page setup, please use an A4 size paper.
- Papers must be written in English.
- The author(s) take full responsibility for the content of the abstract. The committee is not responsible for the editing.
Full Paper Tehnical Guideline
The 2nd Parahyangan International Accounting & Business Conference cordially invites any interested person to deliver his paper(s) about Accounting and Business Challenges in Getting Ready for the Economic Upturn.
The selected papers will be published in The Journal of Applied Management Accounting Research (JAMAR), which is published by The Institute of Certified Management Accountant or International Journal of Accounting and Information Management (IJAIM)*, which is published by The Emerald Publishing Group in UK with further selection process by each editor.
General Rules:
- 1. The theme is “Accounting and Business Challenges in Getting Ready for the Economic Upturn”.
- 2. The selected paper(s) which will be published in JAMAR or IJAIM* (with further process) must be presented by the author at the Paper Presentation session.
- 3. Papers must be original, never-been-published-before, and may not be considered for publication elsewhere at any time during review period.
- 4. All papers are subject to a blind review process.
- 5. Papers submitted are belong to the committee and will not be sent back to the author.
- 6. Papers should avoid unnecessary words, numbers or symbols.
- 7. Authors should not identify themselves directly or indirectly at all parts of the paper.
- 8. Authors are fully responsible for the contents of the paper including the use of structure, diction, grammar, etc.
- 9. All diagrams, tables, figures, exhibits, mathematical equations must be written in MS Word as an integrated part of the paper.
- 10. The abstract can be submitted before the completion of the full paper.
- 11. The date of abstracts submission is January 4th, 2010 until March 31st, 2010. Abstracts and papers should be submitted electronically to the following website: www.piabc-unpar.org.
- 12. Selected abstracts will be announced in www.piabc-unpar.org by April 1 - 10, 2010. The notification of the result will also be sent to your email address.
- 13. A user name and password will be given to each participant whose abstracts have been selected, to be used to log in to www.piabc-unpar.org. This user name and password is used to upload your full paper with the abstract. (The abstract and full paper should be in one file in MS Word format.)
- 14. The submission date of full papers is April 1st , 2010 until May 17th, 2010.
- 15. Confirmation of the accepted full paper will be sent via email and will be announced in www.piabc-unpar.org by June 1st, 2010.
- 16. Participants whose papers have been selected by the reviewer should fill The Full Paper Registration by April 1st – May 17th, 2010.
- 17. The presentation of the selected papers in Paper Presentation session will be held on June 18th, 2010 at Hilton Bandung Hotel, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Participants have to prepare a 20 minutes presentation in power point format. Notebook & LCD Projector will be provided.
- 18. The presenter(s) must be the author(s).
- 19. Participants must bring the backup data in softcopy .
Papers Formatting:

Presentation
- 1. A cover page should inform the title of the paper, the author’s name, title and affiliation, and any acknowledgements.
- 2. The title of the paper, but not the author’s name, should appear on the first page of the text.
- 3. An abstract of 150 - 250 words should be provided on a separate page immediately preceding the text, as well as 4 - 6 keywords.
- 4. The full manuscript must not exceed 25 pages (including Abstract).
- 1. The full paper must reflect the complete research/literature study.
- 2. Relevancy to the theme.
- 3. The compliance with the writing format.
- 4. Primarily on originality of ideas and uniqueness of approaches and completeness of research/literature study, and significance of contribution.
- 5. Well-grounded in theory and evidence.
- 6. The use of the relevant latest issues as examples.
- 7. The papers should not contain any harmful and improper content that may be offensive to other participants, for example, racism.
Tables and figures
Each table and figures should bear a number and a title. Sources should be clearly stated.
Footnotes
Footnotes should be used only in order to avoid the interruption of the continuity of the text and should not be used to excess. They should be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript with superscript Arabic numerals.
References
References should be listed at the end of the paper and referred to in the text as, for example (Duval,1997). The references should include a page or chapter number.
Only works cited in the paper should be included in the list. Citations to institutional works should, if possible, employ acronyms or short titles. If an author’s name is mentioned in the text, it need not be repeated in the citation, e.g. ‘Richardson (1996, p. 36) states...’
The list of references titles of journals should omit an initial ‘The’ but should not otherwise be abbreviated. The entries should be arranged in alphabetical order by surname of the first author. Multiple works by the same author should be listed in chronological order of publication.

Style and Spelling
Abbreviations should be written as, for example, FASB and not F.A.S.B. Words such as ‘realize’ should be spelt with an ‘s’ and not a ‘z’. Single quotation marks should be used, not double.
Mathematical Notation
Mathematical notation should be used only where its rigor precision is indispensable, and authors should explain in narrative form the principal operation performed. Such notation should be avoided in footnotes. Equations should be numbered in parentheses, flush with the right-hand margin
